Your Right to Data Deletion

At Sharanam, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You may request complete deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

What Data We Store

When you use Sharanam, the following data is associated with your account:

  • Phone Number: Used for OTP-based authentication
  • Session Tokens: Active login sessions (up to 5 devices)
  • OTP Records: Temporary OTP entries (automatically expire after 5 minutes)

We do not store passwords, payment information, location data, contacts, or any other sensitive personal information.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request data deletion through any of the following methods:

Method 1: Email Request

Send an email to sharanamapp@gmail.comwith the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your registered phone number
  • Confirmation that you want all your data permanently deleted

Method 2: In-App

Log out from the App using the logout feature. This removes your active session token. For complete data removal, please use the email method above.

What Happens After Deletion

Upon processing your data deletion request:

  • Your user account record will be permanently removed
  • All active session tokens will be invalidated
  • Any stored OTP records will be deleted
  • You will be logged out from all devices immediately
  • You will no longer be able to access premium content until you create a new account

Note: If you have an active subscription, cancelling your data does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store before requesting data deletion.

Processing Time

Data deletion requests are processed within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been successfully deleted.

Data We Cannot Delete

Certain data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Transaction records required for tax and accounting compliance
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you
